Woman's leg gets destroyed after getting run over by a giant Mack Truck in New York (Graphic Video)

This is a very disturbing accident that occurred on Thursday outside the projects in the Lower East Side of Manhattan, New York.
A woman was run over by a giant Mack truck while crossing a busy intersection. As seen in the video, the helpless woman lost one of her legs in the tragic accident.
Soon after, passersby rushed to the scene with some of them recording the woman, who appeared to be in shock.
It's yet unknown if the woman survived the disturbing accident.

Police arrest man who allegedly defiled his 10-year-old daughter

The police have arrested a man who allegedly defiled his 10-year-old daughter.
Akarauwa Eke who lived in Imo State with his daughter, a primary school student, was exposed after he came to pick her from school but she refused to follow him. When asked why, she said, "My father is doing me bad bad things," Punch reports.
This got people curious and following investigations carried out by teachers of the girl's school, it was discovered that the father had been defiling the child at home. A series of tests carried out at the hospital confirmed she had been defiled and her father was arrested by the police in Imo State.
A non-governmental organization, Virgin Heart Foundation, said it was partnering Women of Divine Destiny Initiatives, an organization owned by the wife of the governor of the state, to ensure justice for the girl.

Trump likely to be one-term president –JPMorgan boss

Jamie Dimon, chief executive officer of JPMorgan Chase & Co, has said he expects to see a new United States president in 2021 and advised the Democratic party to come up with a “pro-free enterprise” agenda for jobs and economic growth instead.

Asked at a luncheon hosted by The Economic Club of Chicago how many years Republican President Donald Trump will be in office, Dimon said, “If I had to bet, I’d bet three and half. But the Democrats have to come up with a reasonable candidate … or Trump will win again.”

Dimon, who in the past has described himself as “barely” a Democrat, has been going to Washington more often since the 2016 elections to lobby lawmakers on issues including changes in corporate taxes, immigration policies and mortgage finance.

In December, Dimon became chairman of the Business Roundtable, an association of CEOs who take their views to government policymakers. Dimon, 61, touched on wide range of topics, from America’s political climate to racial discrimination to the effects of the U.K. leaving the European Union.

He also commented on foreign affairs, saying, for example, “We should never be rude to a neighbor like Mexico” and cautioning that the political weakness of German Chancellor Angela Merkel “is bad for all of us.” Talks on forming a governing coalition including Merkel’s Christian Democratic Union collapsed earlier this week, casting doubt on her future after 12 years in power.

Dimon spoke for several minutes about discrimination over gender and race which he said is not acknowledged enough in the United States. “If you’re white, paint yourself black and walk down the street one day, and you’ll probably have a little more empathy for how some of these folks get treated,” Dimon said.

“We need to make a special effort because this is a special problem.” Dimon gave his own bank a mixed review on diversity. His direct reports include people who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender (LGBT), and half are women as are 30 percent of the top 200 JPMorgan executives, he said.

Now in his 12th year as JPMorgan’s CEO, Dimon also reflected a bit on his own role. “I basically love my job,” Dimon said. “I mean, it’s tiring; it’s exhausting. I have to go down to Washington all the time and it’s a big pain in the ass, but I basically love my job.”

Mugabe granted immunity as new president emerges today

Zimbabwe’s former President Robert Mugabe was granted immunity from prosecution and assured that his safety will be protected in his home country under a deal that led to his resignation, sources close to the negotiations said yesterday.

He  will receive a retirement package that includes a pension, housing, holiday and transport allowance, health insurance, limited air travel and security. Mugabe, who had led Zimbabwe from independence in 1980, stepped down on Tuesday after the army seized power and the ruling party turned against him. Emmerson Mnangagwa, the former vice president sacked by Mugabe earlier this month, is set to be sworn in as president today.

Reuters quoted a government source as saying that Mugabe, who is 93 and was the world’s oldest serving head of state, told negotiators he wanted to die in Zimbabwe and had no plans to live in exile. “It was very emotional for him and he was forceful about it,” said the source, who is not authorized to speak on the details of the negotiated settlement.

“For him it was very important that he be guaranteed security to stay in the country…although that will not stop him from traveling abroad when he wants to or has to.”  Mugabe resigned as parliament began a process to impeach him, sparking wild celebrations in the streets. His sudden fall after 37 years in power was triggered by a battle to succeed him that pitted Mnangagwa against Mugabe’s much younger wife Grace.

“The outgoing president is obviously aware of the public hostility to his wife, the anger in some circles about the manner in which she conducted herself and approached ZANU-PF party politics,” a second source was quoted as saying.  “In that regard, it became necessary to also assure him that his whole family, including the wife, would be safe and secure.”

The government source said the tipping point for Mugabe was the realization that he would be impeached and ousted in an undignified way. “When the process started, he then realized he had lost the party,” the source said.

The elderly ex-president was “rugged and drained” by events of the past week and may travel to Singapore for medical checks in the coming weeks, the source said. He had been due to leave for the Southeast Asian country in mid-November before the military put him under house arrest.

Mugabe has maintained that he leads a frugal life and that he does not possess any wealth or properties outside Zimbabwe.  But last month a legal quarrel between Grace and a Belgian-based businessman over a $1.3 million diamond ring lifted a veil on the wealthy lifestyle of Mugabe and his wife, nicknamed “Gucci Grace” for her reputed dedication to shopping.

In Zimbabwe, Mugabe runs a dairy business and the family has several farms while local and foreign media have reported that Grace has bought properties and luxury cars in South Africa.

Addressing a cheering crowd in Harare on Wednesday night, Mnangagwa said Zimbabwe was entering a new stage of democracy.

Businessman, Abubakar Mubi bags 6-months in jail for fraud

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Gombe zonal office has secured the conviction of Muhammad Abubakar Mubi (MD of A.M. Global Energy) to six months imprisonment before Justice M. J.  Umar of the Federal High Court, Gombe on one count charge bordering on Obtaining Money by False Pretence.

Mubi, the managing director of A. M. Global Energy Limited with offices in Lagos and Kaduna was arrested sometime in 2012 following a complaint by one Bello Muhammad Malala of Ashaka Cement Gombe, alleging that in 2009, one Hassan Zankan introduced him to the convict who offered to supply him with  20 trailer load of Low Pour Fuel Oil (LPFO) at the rate of N62 per litre, totaling  N23.5m.
Up till the time he submitted his complaint no product was supplied, while all efforts to recover his money were futile.  The count read, “That you Muhammed Mubi between 28th April, 2010 and 1st June, 2010 at Gombe, Gombe State within the Federal High Court of Gombe Judicial Division did fraudulently convert the sum of Seventeen Million Seven Hundred Thousand Naira belonging to one Bello Muhammad Malala by posing as a person capable of selling Low Pour Fuel Oil  (LPFO) to your own use, thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 383 (1) and 390 of the Criminal Code Act”.

Mubi pleaded guilty to the charge.  Consequently, the prosecution counsel O. Israel urged the court to convict him and sentence him accordingly.  In his judgment, Justice Umar convicted and sentenced him to six months imprisonment without any option of fine.

The death toll in the suicide bomb attack that took place inside a mosque in Mubi community in Adamawa state this morning has risen to 50. A teenage boy strapped with explosives, attacked the Madina mosque in the Unguwar Shuwa area of Mubi, Adamawa state, killing the worshippers. The state police command spokesperson, Othman Abubakar, told AFP that 50 persons have been confirmed dead.
“So far we have at least 50 dead from an attack at a mosque in Mubi,” he said

Accident survivor shares amazing testimony after recovering from a trailer accident

A young man who miraculously survived a fatal accident that killed scores has told of how he recovered two months after the accident and was able to walk though doctors feared he never would.
Fegor Williams was on Lokoja road, journeying to Abuja with his mother, when a tanker carrying fuel fell while trying to overtake and caught fire. The bus he was travelling in with his mother also caught fire and he lost consciousness for a while. When he came to, he saw his mother and other passengers burning alive but he found himself away from the burning bus though he can't explain how that happened.
He is now fully recovered only months after the accident, and though he has now been rendered an orphan by that accident, he's  grateful to still be alive.

Giselle, 19, who put her innocence up for sale with Cinderella Escorts, says she wanted to give it up so she can pay for tuition fees and go traveling around the world.
According to reports, she was offered the huge amount by a millionaire businessman from Abu Dhabi who outbid an unidentified Hollywood actor and the third highest bidder, a Russian politician.
An excited Giselle said:

‘I would never have dreamed that the bid would rise so high and we would have reached 2.5 million euros. This is a dream come true. ‘I think the trend to sell your virginity is a form of emancipation and I am shocked about people who are against allowing a woman to sell HER virginity. ‘If I want to spend my first time with someone who is not my first love, that’s my decision.’
I'm happy to be part of this new trend’ that ‘finally breaks the taboo about a woman’s virginity’.

She added that selling her virginity was her idea and she only used the website so the transaction and meeting could be carried out safely.
UK Metro reports that a hotel in Germany has already been booked. She will be accompanied by security from the agency who will stay close by while the businessman takes her virginity.

Rapper Lil Peep dies of 'drug overdose' at 21.

Lil Peep, real name Gustav Åhr, a promising 21-year-old rapper, died from a reported drug overdose on Wednesday evening.

His manager Chase Ortega tweeted after the announcement a heartbreaking and sombre message: 'I’ve been expecting this call for a year. Mother f***'.

His former lover Bella Thorne appeared heartbroken as she posted an emotional Instagram story as she mourned his sudden passing.

Two friends 'strangled a schoolgirl, 16.

A 16-year-old girl was left to die on the backseat of a car by two men who gave her MDMA and strangled her before driving round ringing escorts, a court heard. 

A-level schoolgirl Megan Bannister was found half-covered by a coat, lying in the back of the Vauxhall Astra after the vehicle was involved in a crash near Enderby, Leicestershire.

Jason Burder and Adam King, both 28, are accused of plying Megan with alcohol and drugs before sending humiliating Snapchat videos of her 'out of it' and fitting.

Birmingham Crown Court heard the pair were seen putting Megan's lifeless body into King's car around 8am on May 14.

Burder had pretended to be 21 in order to convince chip shop worker Megan, to meet with him on May 12, jurors were told.

The pair met again the following night and in the early hours of the morning of May 14 picked up two grams of MDMA along with King, a DHL loader.

The three took the drug at Burder's house, although a post-mortem revealed that Megan's blood toxicity level was ten times that of the defendants. 

The prosecutor told the court Megan could have been spiked, while post-mortem tests showed Burder's semen inside and on her chest, as well as 'unusually' under King's fingernails.

As they drove round the streets of Leicester, phone records showed that the pair phoned up escort services and searched 'busty and exotic brunette', 'sexy lady lovely and warm' as well 'sensual and hot ladies' on the web.

Politics is a very useless business- Ex-President Jonathan says

Former President Goodluck Jonathan, yesterday described politics as a very useless business and that when he reads what people write about him on social media, he laughs. Jonathan said this while reacting to rumors that himself and the current governor of his home state, Bayelsa, Seriake Dickson are at loggerheads. While receiving the governor at his home in Otueke yesterday, GEJ said he had no reason to be competing with a governor when in his lifetime, he had become a deputy governor, governor, Vice President and then President. Seriake was in the former president's home to pay him a condolence visit over the death of the paramount ruler of Otuoke Community, HRH King Lot Justin Ogiasa.
“Let me on behalf of the community thank you for making the visit, because of the relationship we have. You wanted to come immediately, but said it would be waste for the governor to come when the date for the burial has not been announced. For me politics is a very useless business. When I see the kind of things people write about me on the social media, I just laugh. For Bayelsa State, I feel sad because we are not many and we are not heterogeneous. It is a state that we also know ourselves. I have no reason to say that I am competing with the governor; by the grace of God, I became Deputy Governor, Governor and President. There is no way I can sit anywhere and plan anything against Bayelsa state or the governor. “When I was dreaming of becoming Governor, Dickson was among the few in the meetings we were holding. He was not in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), but he agreed to help it. He didn’t want to join the PDP, but I virtually forced him. “When I became Governor, I appointed Dickson Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice and that was how he became a PDP member and later became a member of the House of Representatives and so on…There is no way I will break my relationship with the Governor.” The Governor who led a high-powered state delegation for the condolence said he was part of the Ogiasa family and by extension, the Otuoke community of Ogbia Local Government Area.

Illegal immigrant raped and impregnated his stepdaughter, 15, because he wanted an anchor baby so he would not be deported

An illegal immigrant who wanted to secure his stay in the United States decided to do that by having a baby who is a citizen, so he raped and impregnated his 15-year-old stepdaughter.

Horacio Alvarado, 32, who lives in Milwaukee allegedly impregnated the girl when she was 15. Then when the baby was born - a boy - Horacio sought a paternity test and when the result came out positive, he kept the result with him at all times to use in case immigration officers picked him up.

The stepdaughter, now 22, is being interviewed by police over the sex scandal allegation. She told authorities her stepfather raped her several times a week from when she was 14 until she was 18 years old. The alleged abuse continued even after she gave birth to his child.

The woman told police that Alvarado allegedly assaulted her when her mother, Linda Alvarado, was at work or sleeping late at night.

Alvarado was charged last month with a slew of sex assault charges.

3 pastors facing life in prison for sex trafficking underage girls

Three Ohio pastors are facing life imprisonment for sex trafficking underage girls.
The Rev. Cordell Jenkins, 47, the Rev. Anthony Haynes, 38, and the Rev. Kenneth Butler, 37, were named in an 11-count superseding indictment handed up Tuesday by a federal grand jury charging them with conspiracy to sex traffic children. All three of them pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Michael Freeman, an assistant U.S. Attorney, told the court that if the men are convicted, prosecutors would recommend sentences of life in prison.
“These three men violated the trust of these children and the communities they purported to serve,” U.S. Attorney Justin E. Herdman said in a news release. “We are grateful for the courage of the victims and the dedication of our law enforcement personnel in bringing these men to justice.”
According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, a girl who was just 14 when the conspiracy began in 2014 was sexually assaulted by all three men. Some of the sex acts are believed to have taken place at Greater Life Christian Center where Mr. Haynes was pastor.
Between 2014 and 2017, Mr. Haynes groomed and exploited the girl, used his cell phone to record the sexual assaults, routinely gave her money afterward, and told her not to tell anyone because it could ruin his family and his church, prosecutors say.
Mr. Haynes also is accused of introducing the teen to other men, including Mr. Jenkins, for sexual activity and for sharing pornographic photographs and videos.
Prosecutors allege that between December 2016, and March 2017, Mr. Jenkins sexually exploited the girl at his West Toledo home on Barrington Drive, at his office at Abundant Life Ministries where he was the pastor, and at a motel in Toledo. Prosecutors said he paid her for sex usually between $100 and $300 referring to the payment as “hush money.” Like Mr. Haynes, he’s accused of recording some of the interactions with his cell phone.
Mr. Jenkins is accused of paying for sex acts with a second underage girl in March.
Mr. Butler is charged with trafficking a third underage girl between 2015 and March, 2017. According to court documents, the girl told investigators she met Mr. Butler at Mr. Haynes' church when she was 15 and he would give her rides to his church in the Detroit area.
The girl said she had sex with Mr. Butler in his car twice and he gave her money once. He later reportedly told her to lie to the FBI if she was questioned about him.
Both Mr. Haynes and Mr. Butler are charged with obstruction of a sex trafficking investigation Mr. Haynes for allegedly trying to destroy electronic evidence of sex trafficking and Mr. Butler for instructing another person to lie and lying himself to law enforcement about his involvement.
At their arraignment Tuesday, U.S. District Court Judge Jack Zouhary asked each of the men to tell him a little bit about their educational and work backgrounds.
Mr. Haynes described himself as “a former pastor,” while Mr. Jenkins said he had “pastored full time” for the past 23 years.
Mr. Butler, pastor of Kingdom Encounter Family Worship Center, did not mention serving as a pastor but said he had worked in a variety of security jobs, most recently as a security guard for Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center, Mercy Health St. Anne Hospital, and Mercy Health St. Charles Hospital.
In addition to the conspiracy charge, Mr. Butler who was not named in the original indictment filed in April against Mr. Jenkins and Mr. Haynes was indicted on two counts of sex trafficking of children and one count of obstruction of a sex trafficking investigation.
Judge Zouhary scheduled a Jan. 8 status hearing for all three co-defendants, who are to remain in custody.

The Kaduna Zonal of the EFCC has secured the conviction of a currency counterfeiter Hussaini Baba at the Federal High Court Kaduna. He was convicted in a case of currency counterfeiting to the tune of One Hundred and Eighty-Three Thousand, Five Hundred Naira.
Upon his arraignment on the 26th October, 2017 Hussaini Baba had pleaded not guilty to the one count charge against him and the case was adjourned to the 15th, November, 2017 for the commencement of trial.
In the course of court proceedings yesterday, prosecuting counsel Sa'ad Hannafi Sa'ad presented two witnesses but the accused's counsel informed Justice Shuaibu that after due diligence the accused intended to change his plea to that of guilty. The accused was eventually sentenced to 12 months in prison without option of fine and the judge ordered that the fake money be destroyed by the EFCC

On Wednesday, Pope Francis was given a white-painted special edition of Lamborghini Huracan as a gift, which sells for around 180,000 euros (N76m), but the pontiff gave it to charity.
The pontiff received the Italian supercar painted especially for him in papal gold and white on Wednesday morning in a ceremony in Vatican City.
He blessed it, signed its hood, and promptly handed it over to Sotheby’s, which will auction off the Huracan on his behalf to raise money for charity."The aim is to allow Christians who were forced to leave the region "to finally return to their roots and recover their dignity," the Holy See said.
The money will go towards helping displaced Christians in Iraq, victims of trafficking and prostitution, and Italian charities working with women and children in countries in Africa.
The funds will also be used to rebuild homes and churches for Christians chased out of Iraq by Islamic State terrorists. The rebuilding efforts will be focused on the Nineveh Plains, north-east of Mosul, where Christians were forced to flee years of fighting.
