He earned his status as a heartthrob after displaying his hunky physique on Love Island last year.

And Alex Bowen certainly sent his legion of female admirers into a frenzy on Wednesday, as she shared a rather suggestive snap to his Instagram page.

The reality star, 26, posted a shirtless selfie for fans during his winter break in Tenerife - but it was the eye-popping pocket of his swim shorts that caught the most attention.The heavily-inked star showed off his impressively muscular frame as he posed for a mirror selfie in his red swim shorts.

Proving his rippling abs and hunky physique come with hard work, Alex revealed in the caption he had just completed a gruelling workout, ahead of another day relaxing in the sunshine.

He wrote beside the smouldering snap: 'Sickest gym I’ve been in for a while, little session done.... time for some [sun]' (sic).

However, it was the pocket of his swimwear that caught the attention of fans - who proceeded to go wild in the comments.

One wrote: 'What's that poking out of your trousers?!' while another said teasingly: 'I’m sorry but look at his shorts, anything come to mind?'

Another joked: 'This has made my day!' while others simply lauded praise on his physique, writing:'This body' and 'Ridiculously fit.'

Alex is currently holidaying in Tenerife, where he spent Christmas with his fiancé Olivia Buckland.
