‘The Love Note’

The title of this new production, billed as a musical for preteenagers, refers to the words of encouragement the mother of the heroine, Jessie, packs into her lunch every day. And Jessie needs all the support she can get: The new girl at school, she has to deal with bullies, the pressures to be popular and the first stirrings of a crush in this show by Gail Phaneuf.
